CALL FOR PAPERS Papers on the above themes are invited. Full Papers together with abstracts may

before 15th December 2007.
Papers received after this date will not be considered. The delegates
submitting full-length paper by due date will be scheduled for presentation
subject to the recommendation by the screening committee. SCIENTIFIC PAPERS FOR THE ISC BEST RESEARCH PAPER AWARD Research papers based on empirical studies are invited only from young research scholars/students below the age of 35 years for presentation at the scientific session. The paper adjudged as the best one will be awarded the ISC Gold Medal. The last date for sending this paper is December15, 2007 and the papers for scientific session and the award should be sent to Dr.S. Latha, Secretary, Indian Society of Criminology, University of Madras, Chennai 600 005. REQUEST FOR REGISTRATION Request for registration of delegates should reach Prof.G.S. Bajpai, Organizing Secretary in the enclosed form along with a Demand Draft negotiable at Bhopal in favour of “ 31st All India Criminology Conference, NLIU,Bhopal” on or before 15th December 2007 along with the details of the accommodation preferred. Accommodation will be provided on the basis of “First Come First Serve”. The status of the registration, accommodation and paper presentation can be enquired through email: iscnliuconference08@gmail.com REGISTRATON FEE The registration fee for the delegates, which will include the cost of
lodging and boarding and the
conference material, will be as follows: Delegates Registration on or before 15th December 2007 - Rs. 1000 (Rs. 600/- for Registration +
Rs. 400/- for 3 days accommodation) Registration after the last date – Rs. 1300 (Rs. 1000/- for Registration
+ Rs. 300/- for 3 days accommodation) Student Delegates who present paper Registration on or before 15th December – Rs. 400 /-
(inclusive of accommodation for 3 days (January 18-20,2008), Rs. 150/for every
excess day prior or later). Registration after the last date – Rs. 600/- ((inclusive of accommodation
for 3 days (January 18-20, 2008), Rs. 100/for every excess day prior or later). In case of non-acceptance of the paper, they will be considered in the
category of ‘students without paper’ and in such cases they will have to send
the difference of amount by demand draft before the arrival. Student Delegates who do not present a paper Registration on or before 15th December – Rs. 600 /-
(inclusive of accommodation for 3 days (January 18-20,2008), Rs. 150/for every
excess day prior or later) Registration after the last date – Rs. 800/- ((inclusive of accommodation
for 3 days (January 18-20, 2008) , Rs. 150/for every excess day prior or
later) This is for all to please note that
on- the-spot registration will not be entertained. The organizers will not be
responsible for arrangements for those who turn up without registration.
Registration requests, in any case, will not be accepted after 31December 2007. Accompanying person Rs. 600/- per head for boarding and lodging during conference days. The
number of accompanying persons with their age to be provided with the
registration form. The accompanying persons will not be provided with conference
material. The accommodation mentioned is of moderate nature in and around campus
and those interested in getting accommodated in hotels may contact the
conference secretariat well in advance about their requirement and
budget. Foreign Delegates Registration on or before 15th December 2007 - US $ 100 Registration after the last date – US $ 150 Accommodation for the foreign delegates can be booked on request and the
actual charges may be paid on the spot. Registration fee once paid will not be refundable even if the enrollee does not turn up for the conference. However, conference material in such cases can be obtained from the Conference Secretariat within 15 days after the conferences is over. Delegates desiring official deputation to the conference may kindly write to Prof.G.S.Bajpai, Organizing Secretary to the above-mentioned address. Transport Facilities
Courtesy transport will be available for the delegates from Bhopal
Railway Station to the places of their stay from January 15- 18,
2008. About NLIU

The city of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is a fascinating
amalgam of scenic beauty, historicity and modern urban planning and is located
in the centre of Indian map. It has emerged as a quality center for all kind of
professional education. Historically, Raja Bhoja had founded Bhojapal way back
in the 11th century and has now gradually come to be known as
‘Bhopal’. The two elegant lakes of Bhopal dominate the city. The old city boasts
of the aristocratic imprint of its former rulers with its teeming market places
and fine old mosques and palaces. The new city is ever developing with its well-
laid out parks and gardens, broad avenues and streamlined modern edifices. The
tourist’s are attracted through out the year to the historical monuments of the
city like Taj-ul-Masjid, Jama Masjid, Moti Masjid, Shukat Mahal and Sadar
Manzil, Gohar Mahal. Other attractions include Bharat Bhawan, Government
Archaeological Museum, Van Vihar,etc. At a short distance from the city are
famous spots such as the ‘Stupa’ at Sanchi, Bhim Bhetika, the renowned ‘Shiva
Temple’ at Bhojpur and the list goes on… Bhopal is very well connected with rail, road and air network from all corners of the country. The Weather during this time would be between 12-25 Degrees.
